Taxi

On Tenerife most taxi drivers are honest and give good service, but watch out for some of them. They might take advantage of you. Cabs from the airport to your resort especially. This list is up to date this autumn 1997, and some are for obvious reasons estimates.

Beware of the unofficial cabs!

Official taxis have green lights on the roof of white cars. For shorter trips localy in Las Americas & Los Cristianos, although they should, some cabdrivers don`t put their meter on. A estimated price is from 250 to 500 Pts for such a trip. If the driver talks english at all, giving a tip and tell him that he speak it good. Then encourage him to learn more. They need it. The lists below give a idea about how much taxis should cost from resort to resort.

RADIO 96.8 F.M
The English Language radio station Waves F.M. broadcasts to all of Tenerife, as well as some of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. British run and Spanish owned, mainly by the presenters. I.R.N.: Independent Radio News is linked up every hour so you'll get the latest news on what`s happening at home.
